Wilcopedia drops in one week, or, for some folks, much sooner
The release date for Wilcopedia: A Comprehensive Guide to the Music of America’s Best Band is September 17, 2019 - a week from tomorrow, but it has come to my attention that it is already available in many Barnes & Noble stores across the US. I came across copies of it at a B & N in Cary, North Carolina (see the picture above), and I’ve even been told that it has been seen at a B & N in Anchorage, Alaska.
So it’s out there and I hope to get feedback from you fine folks about it soon. Been waiting for this to happen for a long time so it feels more than a little surreal.
Anyway, so far there have only been a few reviews. Since I hadn’t shared them here before, I thought I would now. First off, Jay Gabler of KCMP, 89.3 The Current, owned by Minnesota Public Radio (MPR), wrote about the book for the station’s Rock and Roll Book Club. Here’s the link:
Rock and Roll Book Club: Wilcopedia: A Comprehensive Guide to the Music of America’s Best Band by Jay Gabler.
More recently, today in fact, a review appeared on the Folk Radio UK site:
Wilcopedia (Book Review) by Ken Abrams.
So far, so good. Two favorable reviews from reputable radio sites. Here’s hoping that’s just the beginning.
More later...
